ABOUT US

His Hands Wellness is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting better spinal health and well-being for people in our communities.

Leading the team

Facing a problem as big as spinal degeneration requires an incredible team. We’re grateful

to have some of the most innovative and committed leaders guiding our organization.

Our Founder

Dr. Theresa Lobbestael

Dr. Theresa Lobbestael, a passionate chiropractor, founded His Hands Wellness Ministry in 2023 to educate local communities on wellness options within reach and share chiropractic care and Jesus with as many people as possible.

Dr. T was inspired to start the nonprofit model after 9 years of private practice. She felt like God was calling her to share her gifts so that HE would be glorified in the process.

Dr. T could not be the doctor she is today without the love and support from her family.

Our Founder

Dr. Theresa Lobbestael

Dr. Theresa Lobbestael integrates chiropractic, functional rehabilitation, and advanced soft tissue techniques to provide individualized care aimed at achieving optimal health and performance. Becoming a mother in 2018, she recognized the need for specialized training to better care for infants, children, and pregnant women. She is passionate about supporting moms during pregnancy and postpartum, and enjoys helping babies with developmental milestones and conditions like torticollis and flat spots.

Dr. Theresa graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2014 and earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin Parkside. She achieved Webster Certification in 2018, dry needling certification in 2019, and Certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics in 2022 after completing over 200 hours of training.

Through Palmer, she joined a chiropractic mission team in Fiji, working with the Fijian National Rugby Team and local residents, which sparked her passion for sharing her skills globally.

Dr. Theresa believes the human body is uniquely designed by God to function without pain. She focuses on reducing pain and teaching functional movements to prevent future issues, emphasizing that dysfunction often lies within the kinetic chain, not just where symptoms appear.

In her personal life, Dr. Theresa has been married to husband, James, since January 2017. They have four boys that were born in 4.5 years from oldest to youngest. She gets countless comments while out and about that she “has her hands full.” She counts her husband and sons as her greatest blessings.

Her favorite scripture is Matthew 6:26 – “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” She lives by the motto: I do my best, and God fills in the rest.

Transforming Lives Through Better Spinal Health

Musculoskeletal conditions not only affect the physical well-being of those suffering from them but also impact their education, income, and overall quality of life.

Join The MISSION

1.71 billion people in the world live with musculoskeletal conditions, including spinal problems.1 These conditions can cause pain, arthritis, and may lead to surgeries for men, women, and children of all ages.

The financial impact of spinal problems is staggering, with the total annual cost of treating these disorders in the United States estimated at $253 billion.2 This includes direct costs, such as medical expenses, as well as indirect costs like lost productivity and disability. For many individuals and families, these financial burdens can lead to bankruptcy.

However, better spinal health can transform lives by improving overall well-being, education, and income.

Education

Spinal issues can interfere with a child's ability to attend school and fully participate in their education. Improved spinal health can help keep kids in school and better equipped to focus on their studies.

Fees and Cancelation Policy:

We Require a MINIMUM DONATION to reserve your appointment times. Electronic payment can be done via the DONATE button on the website, through Zelle (803-981-3518), or QR codes in office. Cash and Checks are also accepted at time of visit.

The donation is based like a “time code” not a per person code. The minimum required donation per 10 minute appointment will be $30, and I can see up to two family members during that time.

For example, my family of 6 could be seen in 30 minutes for a total of $90 OR I have the option to book more time, in 10 minute increments, to allow for more time for my husband or I to be seen with MAXIMUM time per person being 20 minutes.

As a provider,

the adjustment is the most important component of your visit, but the value of soft tissue work- massage, stretching, cupping, scrapping, needling, etc. – allows the body to heal faster, BUT I also want to keep things affordable for those in financial need. I will always make my recommendations based on clinical necessity, but I want you to feel empowered and take ownership over the careyou are receiving.

Exceptions to the 2 people per 10 minutes are:
Pregnant women will be required to have their own 10-minute (minimum)
appointment time due to the nature of Webster technique. Babies who present with a challenge: torticollis, colic, tone issues, nursing difficulties- these will be timed based on each baby’s presentation, but at a minimum of 10 minutes.

Cancellation policy

a LATE cancellation is: a notified planned absence within 24 hours of appointment time. 2 late
cancellations are permitted, but you will be dismissed should another “within 24-hour of your scheduled time” cancellation be required.

NO CALL/NO SHOW cancellation: is an absence that there is no notification prior to missing the appointment. If the clinic reaches out to you at your appointment time, you will be dismissed from care.

Because your donation secures your spot in the schedule, if made prior to your appointment it will not be refunded. If not pre-paid, the donation will be required to be paid prior to scheduling your next appointment.

This policy is frustrating to enforce-but someone else cannot be seen if you late cancel, and fees are set at the rock bottom needed to support the clinic and have a margin for the Palmetto Women’s Center.
